A short introduction
Young schoolteacher Carrie comes to Chula Vista, CA in 1915. She's running from heartache in Chicago. Nate, a young orchardist, takes a fancy to her, but she's guarding her heart. A gigantic flood wipes out farms, roads, and people and Nate is out in the storm. Carrie realizes she loves him, but is it too late to tell Nate how she feels.
