About the author: Timothy (Tim) Hooks, CHTM, CRES, CBET, is husband to a wonderful and loving wife named Mae and father of two energetic and fun-loving boys named Sam and Seth. He is one of only a handful of triple Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) Credentials Institute (ACI) board certified professionals in the world and is a graduate with multiple degrees from Fullerton College in Fullerton, California. Tim is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and has published numerous Healthcare Technology Management articles in numerous trade journals as well as a Biomedical Equipment Technology compendium. He enjoys playing outdoor sports with his family, cycling, swimming, hiking, camping, volunteering in his community, and going to various amusement parks.
