What's Hidden in Stone?
edited by FirstEditing.com
What I liked most was the free sample FirstEditing offered so that I could see exactly what they could do, which was a major selling point for me. Not a lot of editing companies do this. My editor, Vonda, was also very personable and met her projected deadline when it came to finishing the edit of my novel and I felt that the price was reasonable, considering some of the other quotes I had received from other companies.
A short introduction
Stone Jacobs appears to have the perfect life and is a beautiful and popular relationship expert for one of Charlotte's most sought after magazines, the Urban Charlotte Buzz. Though Stone gives great advice to her readers, her personal love life is questionable. When Stone meets her new sexy magazine editor, Adric Michaels, she feels her luck has changed and the two have more than a working relationship. However, their workplace affair is short-lived since Adric is not the type of guy who wants to settle down with anyone-including her rival co-worker who also has his eyes set on him.
Mysteriously, Stone's workplace competition is attacked and handsome Detective Chance Grayson is assigned to this case, along with another involving the gruesome murder of someone else at the Urban Charlotte Buzz. Fingers are pointed right in Stone's direction, but is she guilty? Chance can't help but fall for his overly attractive new suspect and the feeling's mutual, but as he gets closer to the truth, he realizes that Stone may not be the woman he thought he knew.
Stone confides in top therapist Vanedra Westbury to help put things in perspective, but Vanedra gets more than she bargained for when she takes her on as a client. Can she really help Stone fill in the missing pieces about herself, chaotic love life, and help her realize the truth? Or, is just what's hidden in Stone much more than she or anyone could've ever imagined? After all, Stone will do whatever it takes to keep certain secrets from being revealed...to anyone!!!
