Primarily devoted to kugel "” the sweet or savory vegetarian casserole with a fascinating ancient history. Side dish or dessert kugels show with each entrée and on menus for every occasion. Also included are non-kugel recipes for appetizers and small bites (hors d'oeuvres) through dessert that will tempt young and old alike.

In addition to her love of cooking and baking, she has performed with community and synagogue choirs and Sweet Adelines International 4-part harmony a cappella choruses. Her two daughters and three grandchildren are all singers. Nina attributes their vocal abilities to the fact that they were virtually weaned on kugel.

She has written several previous cookbooks that primarily feature kugel. This kugel maven (expert) is the world's premier Kugelologist.
