Pro Writing & Editing Group, Inc. agrees to provide professional editing services to the Author in accordance with the details outlined in the Author’s order form. The specific services may include, but are not limited to, developmental editing, content editing, copy editing, proofreading, and formatting.
The scope of the services and the deadline for completion will be agreed upon in writing (via email or the order form) between the Author and the Company.
Pro Writing & Editing Group, Inc. respects the privacy and confidentiality of its clients. As part of this commitment, all editors employed or contracted by the Company are required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with the Company. This NDA ensures that any manuscript, draft, document, or related materials provided by the Author will be treated with the highest level of confidentiality.
The Author agrees that all information submitted to Pro Writing & Editing Group, Inc. will be used exclusively for the purpose of providing the contracted editing services. The Author also agrees not to hold the Company liable for any breaches of confidentiality, except in cases where the Company or its contracted editors have acted outside the scope of the signed NDA.
The Author retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the work submitted for editing. The Company’s role is limited to providing editing services only. All rights to the content of the work remain with the Author, except where explicitly stated otherwise in writing.
Upon completion of the editing services, the Company will return all work to the Author in the format agreed upon in the order form. The Author is solely responsible for any further use, publication, or distribution of the edited work.
The Author affirms that they hold the copyright for the original work submitted for editing and that they have the legal right to modify and edit the manuscript. The Company does not claim any copyright over the original manuscript but provides editing services to improve the quality of the work. The Author retains all rights, including the right to distribute, publish, or use the edited work as they see fit.
The Author agrees to pay the Company for the editing services as specified in the order form. Payment is due upon submission of the order unless other arrangements have been made. Accepted methods of payment include credit/debit card, ACH transfer, or other forms of online payment facilitated by the Company.
In the event that the Author requests revisions or additional services outside the scope of the original agreement, the Author must provide payment for these services before any new revisions are undertaken. The Author will be notified of the cost of additional revisions or services, and work will not proceed until payment has been made in full.
Pro Writing & Editing Group, Inc. provides one round of editing unless otherwise specifically outlined. If the Author finds any errors or oversights, the Company will correct them. The Author may then revise the document as they see fit. They may accept or reject each individual edit or correction. The Author may also receive recommendations for revisions, which they may or may not choose to implement.
Once the Author has completed their revisions, they may submit either the entire document or just the revised portions for a new edit, if they so desire.
The Author agrees to provide feedback within the designated revision period. If no feedback is provided within this period, the work will be considered complete, and the Author will forfeit the right to request further revisions.
Pro Writing & Editing Group, Inc. guarantees that any errors or omissions in the final document will be corrected. The Author may submit requests for corrections within 30 days of receiving the final edited document. Each request will be evaluated based on its unique conditions and handled accordingly. No refunds will be issued for work already provided.
The Author is solely responsible for ensuring that all information provided in the manuscript is accurate and properly sourced. This includes, but is not limited to, fact-checking all claims, dates, names, statistics, and other factual information. The Author must also ensure that all citations and references are correct and properly formatted according to the required style guide (e.g., MLA, APA, Chicago, etc.).
Pro Writing & Editing Group, Inc. does not conduct fact-checking as part of its editing services unless specifically agreed upon. The Company is not responsible for verifying the accuracy of the content provided by the Author, and the Author agrees to hold the Company harmless for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the content.
The Author agrees to be fully transparent about the authorship of the work submitted for editing. The Author must disclose if any AI, bots, or tools (including, but not limited to, text generators, content creation tools, or other automated assistance) were used in the creation of the manuscript. This includes but is not limited to text generation, research assistance, data collection, or any part of the writing process that involved external tools or technology.
The Author is responsible for acknowledging and citing all sources, including but not limited to AI-generated content, bot-generated text, machine-learning tools, software, or any other external resources, whether human or non-human, that contributed to the work. The Author must provide proper citations or acknowledgments in accordance with standard academic or publishing conventions.
By submitting the manuscript for editing, the Author affirms that all external assistance, including AI and automated tools, has been disclosed and properly credited within the manuscript. Failure to disclose such use may result in the rejection of the manuscript or a violation of the terms of this Agreement.
The Company is not responsible for verifying the accuracy of the disclosure, but the Author acknowledges that misrepresentation or failure to disclose such information may lead to legal or ethical issues, and the Author will be solely liable for such matters.
Pro Writing & Editing Group, Inc. provides professional human editors who personally correct and perfect all documents. However, as we are human, we acknowledge that there may be errors or omissions in the editing process. The Author is requested to notify us promptly if they discover any errors or omissions so that the Company may revise the document on their behalf.
Once the Author has reviewed and revised the document, the Author remains solely responsible for the content of the manuscript. Pro Writing & Editing Group, Inc. is no longer responsible for any errors, omissions, or changes after the Author’s final review and approval of the work.
Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time. If the termination is without cause, the party seeking termination must provide 30 days’ written notice. If either party breaches the terms of this agreement, the non-breaching party may terminate this agreement immediately, without notice.
Termination does not relieve the Author of any obligations to provide payment for work completed before the termination date or any payments due to the Author at the time of termination. Upon termination, the Author will immediately return or destroy all confidential or proprietary information provided by Pro Writing & Editing Group, Inc. and its affiliated websites.
Pro Writing & Editing Group, Inc. will not be held responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the editing services provided under this Agreement. The Company’s total liability to the Author for any claim, loss, or damages related to the editing services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Author for the editing services provided.
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Orange County, Florida, and both parties hereby consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the courts in Orange County, Florida.
If the Author is dissatisfied with the work provided after the initial round of revisions, they may request an additional round of revisions within 30 days of receiving the final edited document. If the dissatisfaction is due to an error or oversight on the part of the Company, the Company will correct it at no additional charge to the Author.
If the work exceeds the originally agreed-upon scope (e.g., word count, complexity, or additional requests), the Author will be notified of the additional work and associated costs. The Author must approve any additional charges before work continues beyond the original scope.
The Author is responsible for submitting the final version of the manuscript for editing. Any updates, additional chapters, or content changes made after submission may require additional fees or an extension of deadlines. The Author acknowledges that the Company will not be held responsible for delays or errors resulting from incomplete or outdated manuscript submissions.
The Author agrees that any testimonials or feedback provided to Pro Writing & Editing Group, Inc. may be used by the Company for promotional purposes, including but not limited to marketing materials, website content, and social media posts. The Author may request the removal of their testimonial from public view at any time by providing written notice to the Company.
By submitting the order for editing services, the Author acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement. This act of submission is considered the Author’s electronic signature and is legally binding.
The Author’s electronic acceptance of this Agreement is equivalent to a physical signature, and the Author confirms that they have read and understood the terms of this Agreement before submitting their order.
The Company will retain a record of the Author’s digital acceptance, including the date and time of submission, which will be stored as part of the order’s documentation.
